VINEYARD: The vineyards of Quinta do Pego are planted with traditional Port varieties Touriga Nacional, Touriga Franca, Tinto Cao and Tinta Roriz.
WINEMAKING: The grapes for the port come from the old vines, which were on the Quinta’s vineyards, when the present owners took over the Quinta. It has been matured for 20 months, partly in oak casks, partly in stainless steel vats. It is a wonderful Vintage port of the finest quality. A warm and sunny summer has resulted in perfectly ripened grapes and a powerful and concentrated Port.
Colour: Ruby-red colour.
Aroma: Delicate bouquet of forest fruit.
Flavour: Elegant, rich and well-balanced taste as well as a long and very pleasant aftertaste.
